Yesterday (July 25) marked the ten year anniversary of Young Jeezy’s debut with Def Jam records and his album Thug Motivation 101. To celebrate his accomplishments and fans that supported him along the way, Jeezy put on a concert down at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. This Sunday, July 26, marks 10 years – a full DECADE – since Jeezy released his debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. Can you believe it? The now-classic project confirmed Jizzle’s spot in the game, and paved the way for the Atlanta rapper to become the multi-faceted businessman he is today. “They say you have your whole life to make your first album, and they might be right,” Jeezy said in his first-ever Instagram post today to commemorate the anniversary. “Some call it poetry, others call it the ghetto gospel, but the industry calls it ‘trap music.’ Go figure.
