Google Sells Motorola For $3 Billion, Could Mean How Many Jobs Lost?!

Google is getting rid of bad assets in this sale, as Motorola lost a Billion in this past year, which is a 34% slump for the manufacturer(They are doing what Blackberry should have done). Back in 2011, Google promised $12.5 Billion to Motorola which included not only the devices, but their patents. The price Lenovo is paying is $2.91 Billion, MUCH lower than what google was supposed to pay, but allegedly Google is holding on to a good bit of the patents, and some ‘other intellectual property’.

NBA: Kobe Stars On The Piano In New Commercial

We have all seen Kobe play the piano before. Earlier this year he tweeted a pic of himself playing “Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata”, saying it helps calm him down. Judging by the past year he had with the Lakers and his injury, I have a feeling he needed to calm down alot! So I am not sure if that is the only song he knows, because there is a new commercial for Lenovo, where once again he plays the song. I must admit the way he plays it leads me to believe that he has serious skills on the keys and knows other songs. Hit the jump to listen.

Last week Lenovo’s CFO said that the company had an interest in putting a bid on mobile company RIM to build up it’s mobile business. It not looks the company is now back tracking on it’s statement. The CFO said “Lenovo is very focused on growing its business, both organically and through M&A”. Either way investing in RIM did’nt look like a good idea in the first place. Lenovo should be looking it’s mobile though it’s own company. Even RIM does have new devices dropping this year, we have to see how the public responds to them when they are released.
