NBA: Lebron James On Not Being Unanimous MVP Back In 2013 “I Was Heated”!

Back in 2013, Lebron James came just one vote shy of being the first player in NBA history to be the unanimous MVP. At the time he really wasn’t sweating it because at the end of the day, being named the MVP was such an honor, that who cares how the votes broke down. Well apparently Lebron cared very much, which was something he let on yesterday while discussing Steph winning the award this year.

Joe Pytka directed the 1996 blockbuster version of “Space Jam” which of course starred Michael Jordan and did serious numbers at the box office. Whether it’s hate or just some insight from someone who has been through it, Pytka is saying “Space Jam 2” essentially has no chance to succeed and they should drop the idea before it’s really too late. Well damn!


NBA: LeBron James Says Stephen Curry Deserves MVP, But ‘Most Valuable’ is Open to Interpretation

Stephen Curry is the back-to-back NBA MVP.  He’s the 11th player in league history to win the award in consecutive years, the third point guard to win the award multiple times joining Magic Johnson (3) and Steve Nash (2), but he’s the only player in league history to win the award by a unanimous vote.  There’s no doubt that Curry deserves the award, but LeBron James, who finished third behind Curry and San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard, said the honor can be interpreted in different ways.

Once again LeBron James has some big shoes to fill, being compared to Michael Jordan.  James has been touted as the new MJ since he was in high school and his NBA career is often pitted against Jordan’s.  Now LeBron will have to try and do better than Michael Jordan on the big screen.  Jordan starred in Space Jam in 1996, it became a cult classic and the highest grossing animated movie at the time.  James will officially appear in the sequel, Space Jam 2 and Magic Johnson says LeBron could be better than Jordan.


NBA: J.R. Smith Contacted About Role in ‘Space Jam 2’ With LeBron James

It looks like LeBron James will have some familiar company on the set of “Space Jam 2” because the producers have already reached out to Cavaliers teammate J.R. Smith about a role in the movie.
