There’s no question who’s the heir to the throne as King James son, LeBron James Jr. continues to show out on the court.
photo credit Lebron James Jr has been making noise on the basketball court for a few years now but this was a little different. We are used to see Bronny dominate the competition among his peers but hitting deep shots on an NBA court is something new. After the Cavs took care of the Heat at home with ease last night, Bronny and his brother Bryce, as well as papa Lebron and others, were on the court when Bronny decided to let it fly from half court.
Lebron James’ sons can pretty much have anything in this world that they want thanks to their dads hard work to become the biggest basketball star on the planet but there are still some things they aren’t allowed to have. Lebron is in full dad mode when it comes to his kids, mainly the older Lebron James Jr aka Bronny on the matters of having a cell phone. While so many parents are out here giving smartphones to their eight year old and then wondering why they come across things they shouldn’t see, Lebron wants his son to not grow up so fast and refuses to allow them to have cell phones.
All eyes have been on LeBron James since he led the Cleveland Cavaliers on a miraculous run to come back from 3-1 and beat the Golden State Warriors and win the NBA championship. In doing so, a long ESPN profile on the King, revealed some very interesting information about his heir.
Lebron was looking like a very proud papa after watching his son Bronny handle competition the same way he does in the NBA. Lebron Jr put on a show at the 2016 Buckeye Prep Invitational! He was all over the court, setting up teammates, taking it to the rack and playing great defense. Sounds exactly like dad! At one point Lebron couldn’t contain how excited he was after Bronny made a huge block on one end and took it the length of the court for a tough lay up. He is only going to get better and he isn’t even in high school yet! Kids around the country better be prepared.
When LeBron James is done with the NBA, we have not one but two of his heirs to take over. LeBron James Jr., 11, and Bryce Maximus James, 8, played in and won the Ohio Showcase tournament in Akron over the weekend. Both of James’ sons play for the North Coast Blue Chips organization, but in different age brackets. And thankfully since the tournament was in Akron, and the Cavaliers were at home over the weekend, LeBron was in the bleachers to watch all the action.
