Over the weekend, the first episode of the Roots remake aired – which chronicles the history of an African slave sold to America and his descendants. The story has been controversial and some – like Snoop Dogg – have spoke out against it, while others like T.I. (who’s in the movie) are in support of it. O’Shea Jackson Jr. falls under the former. Laurence Fishburne will play Alex Haley in the remake of the 1977 miniseries, Roots: The Saga of an American Family. Roots tells the story of Alex Haley’s ancestor Kunta Kinte and his family’s trials and tribulations, while being enslaved. Samuel L. Jackson’s response is by FAR the most hilarious and classic thing ever. While the actor “Django Unchained” actor appeared on Los Angeles’ morning show KTLA to discuss his upcoming “Robocop” film. However, once news anchor Sam Rubin confused Jackson with Laurence Fishburne, all hell broke loose. Jackson fired back at the reporter ASAP saying, “we don’t all look alike!” The unexpected response was truly priceless. He then went on to make his point clear by saying, “I’ve actually never done a McDonald’s or Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial. I know that’s surprising.” YIKES!
