Land Rover has a big anniversary to celebrate at this year’s New York Auto Show. The company is marking its 25th year in the States, and it’s busting out a few historical models for display at the show for the occasion. Those include a 1987 Range Rover, a 1993 Land Rover 110, a 1995 Range Rover Classic and a 1994 Camel Trophy Discovery, among others. Land Rover has made no secret of the fact that the company aims to flesh out its stable between now and 2017 with the addition of around 40 new model variants. Now Inside Line has given us the first hint of what the first of those models may bring to the table. According to reports, the company is in the beginning stages of developing a new leisure range to slot below the current LR2. Autocar reports that Land Rover may be working to flesh out its lineup with a new, larger version of the Range Rover Evoque. The publication claims executives are interested in building a model to split the difference between the current Evoque and Range Rover Sport models as the latter vehicle moves farther up market in the coming years.
