Anthony said he would “take a real hard look” at signing a three-year, $65 million extension with the Nuggets if he isn’t dealt by the NBA’s Feb. 24 deadline, according to the Denver Post.

Which is significant, since Michael Jordan’s basketball career spanned 1,072 games. Even with the game in hand, MJ has Kobe in scoring (32,292 points to 27,112) and assisting (5,633 to 5,026) and rebounding (6,672 to 5,679) and rings under Phil Jackson (6 to 5).

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Kobe  becomes the third player in Lakers history to eclipse the 5,000 assist mark with the team, joining Magic Johnson and Jerry West. Bryant also became the seventh player in NBA history to register 25,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 5,000 assists.
