Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Lamar Odom was only deactivated by the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, not waived, and it would be too late for the Los Angeles Lakers to sign their former Sixth Man of the Year in time for the playoffs anyway, had he been waived.
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl When Nets brass called it a day March 14, the eve of the NBA trading deadline, they did so believing they had a deal with the Magic for Dwight Howard in place. Yes, Howard almost became a Net. But he also was on the verge of becoming a Laker if the Magic hierarchy had gone through with its threat of playing hardball with the indecisive superstar center.
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl As everyone as has or heard by now, Blake Griffin had 2 monster dunks on Pau Gasol last night (You can check it out HERE if you missed it).  Pau Gasol has now been added to the Blake Griffin monster dunk list along with Mosgov & Perkins. A few players from around the league reacted on twitter after it happened (including Pau Gasol a little later). Check out what they had to say…
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl So, the Los Angeles Clippers had the most exciting dunks, and the Los Angeles Lakers eventually won the game. Isn’t that the way we thought this one would play out? In the end, the only thing that really matters in the standings and the playoff race is that the Lakers beat the Clippers 113-108 on Wednesday, but when this game is talked about tomorrow, next week or next year, there will be only two plays fans will likely remember. Both plays feature Blake Griffin dunking on Pau Gasol in a manner he previously had reserved for only Timofey Mozgov and Kendrick Perkins.
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Quickly and decisively, the Clippers point out that there isn’t a rivalry between them and the Lakers. “Honestly, I don’t think it is one,” center DeAndre Jordan said. “But I’m not worried about any other team. I don’t care about them. I respect them as a team and as players. Once we step in between that line, I could care less about any accomplishments they have.”
