Kobe Bryant is 37-years old, playing in his 20th NBA season, and has gone through a multitude of injuries especially over the past couple years.  With all that combined, it’s no surprise that he’s been struggling so far this season.  But it doesn’t matter what we know about the Black Mamba, in the social media age “you’re gonna get these jokes”.

It’s still very early in the season but Kobe Bryant definitely isn’t looking like himself.  He’s still shooting at a high volume but the shots just aren’t landing.  Injuries have kept him on the sideline for the past couple seasons plus he’s 37-years old.  As Kenny Smith put it, “father time catches us all”.

NBA: LeBron James Comments on Kobe Bryant’s Struggles & Harsh Self Criticism

Kobe Bryant has been struggling this season after dealing with multiple injuries the past couple seasons.  He was angry with himself and his performance saying that he “sucks”, calling himself the 200th best player in the league and that he just can’t hit a shot.  LeBron James isn’t taking Bryant’s struggles as seriously and had some interesting comments when asked.

If there’s one thing about Kobe Bryant, it’s that he’s brutally honest even when talking about himself.  Through three games Bryant has looked older, slower, without the same lift after his injuries. He’s averaged 17 shots a game, hitting 31.4 percent of them (20.7 percent from three where he’s launching more than nine shots a night), and he’s struggling on defense. He assessed his performance last night after a 3-of-15 shooting and loss to Dallas, and he didn’t hold back.
