(Video) NBA: Monica Says Kobe Bryant Is Gonna Need Vanessa’s Permission If He Wants to Be an NBA Coach

Kobe Bryant has devoted his life to the game of basketball, joining the league straight out of high school and playing 20 long seasons.  The Black Mamba is now gearing up for retirement and many wonder what he will do after he finally hangs up his jersey.  Will he become a broadcaster or an NBA coach?  Well if he wants to do the latter, he’ll have to run it by his wife Vanessa Bryant, according to her BFF Monica.

(Video) NBA: Master P Changes His Tune, Now Praising Kobe Bryant

Master P has been firing alot of shots in the direction of Kobe Bryant over the past month but he may be ready to fall back a bit. First it was the nonsense about Kobe being a fake friend towards Lamar Odom. That was followed by P claiming be could beat Kobe one on one (and he was serious) which prompted twitter to question what the hell is going on in this guy’s brain lately. He sounds like he has comes to his senses and now has nothing but praise for the Mamba.

NBA: Byron Scott Reveals Kobe Told Him He Was Going To Retire In The Middle Of A Game

Yesterday I wrote about how Dwyane Wade was likely the first person outside Kobe’s family to know he was going to retire at the end of this season. He told him back in early November, way before Kobe penned his letter for The Players Tribune, in which he told the world he was retiring. As it turns out, his coach Byron Scott also found out before the rest of us (as you would expect) but it came in a very surprising fashion.

NBA: Despite Announcing His Retirement, Kobe Bryant Is Still Being Considered For 2016 Olympic Team

Kobe Bryant announced that he will retire at the conclusion of this season. Since the Lakers suck and will be nowhere near the playoffs, that means Kobe’s final game will be sometime in late April. That may not be his final game ever though since he is still a candidate to make the team that will travel to Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

(Video) NBA: Shaq Weighs In On Which Number Should Be Retired For Kobe Bryant

There are some folks out there, including myself, that believe the Lakers should retire both numbers Kobe Bryant wore during his career. He accomplished many things wearing his original #8 jersey but he also enhanced his hall of fame resume while wearing #24. He won three rings with his old number but won two more, plus an MVP award wearing his father’s old number of 24. Shaq was alongside Kobe during the “8” days and he does not believe both numbers should be retired, he thinks only his original jersey should be retired.

(Video) NBA: Kobe Praises Michael Jordan & Allen Iverson, Says Tony Allen Gave Him The Most Trouble

As Kobe Bryant’s career winds down in front of our eyes we are likely going to be seeing interviews with him much more than we already have. Everyone wants a piece of the Black Mamba and he appears willing to let people in much more. During an interview with Ernie Johnson last night for Inside The NBA, Kobe spoke on his toughest matchup as an offensive player, what Michael Jordan & Allen Iverson did for the game and more.
