Drake is the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors but he likes to drop the names of other players in his songs like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Back in 2014, he tried to recruit Durant to the Raptors during one of his concerts and it cost the team a $25,000 fine for violating the NBA’s anti-tampering policy. As Durant’s free agency is even closer with him being an unrestricted free agent this summer, Drake dropped Durant’s name again, this time on his song “Weston Road Flows” off his album VIEWS.

Drake tried to recruit KD to the raptors back in 2014 and wind up costing his team $25,000 in tampering fines because Durant was not a free agent yet. Now here we are in 2016 and with KD’s free agency approaching in a couple months, Drake picked a perfect time to name drop him on his “VIEWS” album. While it’s not really recruiting, I wouldn’t put it past a guy with the intelligence of Drake to know he was sending a subtle message.

Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder finished off the Dallas Mavericks last night, winning 118-104 to close out the first round series. For his part, Westbrook was a monster with 36 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists but prior to the game, Mavs owner Mark Cuban claimed Westbrook was only an all-star and not a superstar and Durant made it very clear what they think of Cuban after the game.

Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne were doing their now infamous dance routine prior to game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks. As they were dabbin, Charlie Villanueva walked and stood between them in an attempt to disrupt the routine. Westbrook pushes him away and continues to dance. Then Justin Anderson walks up behind Westbrook and a visibly frustrated Russy pushed Anderson away and walked over to the scorers table. This little scuffle ignited a war of words between Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Villanueva.
