The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered an utter collapse, losing three straight games to the Golden State Warriors despite holding substantial leads in two of them.  The Warriors came back from 3-1 to win the western conference finals and go on to the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Thunder once again found themselves falling short, including their star player Kevin Durant.  As you know, Lil B claims to have put the “Based God curse” on Durant five years ago after KD called his music “trash”.  Lil B said he would remove the curse if Durant apologized and played him in a one-on-one basketball game. Well, neither happened, and as Durant and the Thunder lost again last night, Lil B and his fans claimed the curse was still alive.

The Warriors were able to fight off elimination last night, as they battled for a hard fought win over the Thunder. The series now shifts back to Oklahoma City for game six, where the Thunder will hope to end it. Part of the reason the Warriors won last night was because Steph Curry finally showed up, scoring 31 points to go along with 5 steals. After the game, a reporter from ESPN asked Durant about Steph being an underrated defender and as you will see, Russell Westbrook couldn’t contain his laughter.

For Dion Waiters, going from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Oklahoma City Thunder was a breath of fresh air.  Waiters himself said he felt “wanted” with OKC, and it was a vast difference from the vines of him begging for the ball from LeBron James.  Though Waiters has more freedom with the Thunder, Kevin Durant had to remind him that he is the star of the team and should have the ball in his hands.

NBA: Kevin Durant’s Mom Having Lifetime Movie Made About Her Titled “The Real MVP”

Ever since Kevin Durant’s career began with the Seattle Supersonics back in 2007, his mother Wanda has been a fixture at his games. We started to notice her much more when the Sonics moved to OKC and became the Thunder but she really became famous in her own right after Kevin’s MVP speech in 2014, when he referred to his mom as “The Real MVP”. It made you want to call your own mother and let her know how much she has done for you and it was a moment in the world of sports we will never forget. Now KD’s words are being used as the title of a movie about his wonderful mother.
