NBA: Klay Thompson on Kevin Durant Joining Warriors: ‘I’m not sacrificing sh-t’

With Kevin Durant choosing the Golden Stat Warriors in free agency, it put four All-Star on one starting lineup.  That includes the Splash Brothers of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.  Being Durant being a sharpshooter himself, it’s obvious the volume of each player will go down.  The player most see being affected is Thompson.  Klay however wants to make one thing clear, he isn’t sacrificing a damn thing.

NBA: Kevin Durant Says ‘Nobody Really Appreciates What [James Harden] Does

James Harden probably has a chip on his shoulder.  He believed he should’ve won the MVP award in the 2014-15 season where he came in second to Stephen Curry, and he didn’t make an All-NBA team following the 2015-16 season despite averaging 29 points, 7.5 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.  While Team USA is in Houston and was preparing for tonight’s exhibition game against Nigeria, Kevin Durant came to his friend and former teammate’s defense during a media session.

NBA: Kevin Durant Fires Back At Reports That He Promised Westbrook He Was Staying In OKC

There were reports earlier this week by ESPN reporter Royce Young, where he insinuated that Kevin Durant had promised Russell Westbrook that he was definitely coming back to the Thunder in a meeting prior to free agency beginning. On the surface it sounded like a pretty foul move on the part of KD to promise his running mate of the past eight years that he would be back, only to ditch him for the Warriors. Durant decided to speak on it during team USA practice in Chicago yesterday, where he denied ever doing that. The same reporter has also since clarified his own statement.

We have yet another report about the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook relationship.  The first report said Westbrook was “ticked off” that Durant left and he is ready to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder by himself.  In the second report, Durant himself said he and Westbrook did not talk about Russell’s future prior to his departure, that he hasn’t really spoken to Westbrook since he left and that their relationship will probably never be the same.  The third report said Westbrook was angry that Durant left and he was hurt because KD didn’t tell him personally that he was leaving.  This latest report now says Durant told Westbrook he was coming back to continue playing with OKC.

NBA: Kevin Durant’s Restaurant in OKC Closes Down After He Leaves For Warriors

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder had a messy breakup as he left for the Golden State Warriors in free agency.  Durant wasn’t just the star player of the team, he was a big part of the community including his philanthropic acts and his ‘southern cuisine’ restaurant called “KD’s”, located in the heart of Bricktown — right in the middle of the Oklahoma City metropolis.  Now that Durant is gone, the restaurant is to, but not completely.
