I know Kerry Rhodes just wanted to defend himself, but sometimes saying nothing is more powerful than anything. It’s sad that this is what it’s come to. After some pictures of Kerry surfaced, people starting assuming that he was gay. Later that day, he made a statement and denied it. He would support someone if they were, but said that he was straight. Well now more pictures have surfaced that have put him back in the spotlight. I really don’t like covering this story because I can’t stand people that are judgemental. I just don’t understand why people care so much about someone’s sexual orientation??? Earlier this month we shared the story that 4 current NFL players are thinking about revealing that they are gay. While it would be great for the gay community, it could cause problems for those individuals because of close minded fans. MTO got their hands on a few photos of a popular NFL player that is currently a free agent. He was on a vacation with a male friend and they seemed pretty close. We don’t know all the details. It could just be his friend or relative OR they could have been joking around – but the pics are being used as “proof”. For the record, MTO did not say he is gay, they insinuated it. I like this guy and if he is one of the four, I feel bad that he couldn’t come out & reveal the info on his own terms…AND if he’s not gay, now he has to do rumor control. No win situation. Last night rumors were flying that Cardinals teammates got into it and Darnell Dockett spit in Kerry Rhodes face! It’s completely disrespectful to spit in someone’s face let alone have it be one of your teammates. They allegedly disagreed late in the 4th quarter about whether the Cardinals should let the Jets score in order to give the Cardinals the ball back with a chance to force OT.
