Originality at work! Along with Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar performed at the Governor’s Ball this weekend, and a unique fashion sense followed in tow. Lamar rocked a Christopher Kane Creature hoodie and sweatpants…that held a very distinguished looking ‘creature’. At first, I thought it was an owl – then, I told myself it was some kind of swamp creature – NOW, I’m convinced that it’s the monster from Jeepers Creepers. Drop down bottom and you tell me what it is.
Last night in Randall’s Island, Kendrick hit the stage and rocked the crowd that stuck around despite the so-so weather and heaps of mud. See the Compton MC perform some of his old gems, such as “P&P 1.5” off of Overly Dedicated, after the jump. Second video courtesy of Billboard.
While 2 quarters of Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz, were on the East coast in the studio with Just Blaze, their CEO Eminem and 1 quarter of their group, Royce Da 5’9, were in the lab in their hometown of Detroit. But, they weren’t alone! The guys were joined by the Black Hippy crew! Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q had a show in D-Town, so they hit the studio with Em, Royce and producer Mr. Porter after. Wonder if this could also end up on the Slaughterhouse album! Hmm!
Action Bronson has been heating up the airwaves recently, along with the mixtape world. It’s a fact that the Queens-native can flow, but did he really get signed to TDE? Although there has not been any official confirmation from Top Dawg Entertainment themselves, members of the crew such as Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q sent congratulations messages to Action Bronson via Twitter. Check out the tweets after the jump and decide for yourself!
Kendrick Lamar takes us on the road with him during his Verge Campus tours. During part two of his vlog, K. Dot hits the gym, shoots some hoops, and is joined by TDE, Kelly Rowland, Mac Miller, Macklemore, and more. It seems like a blast on the road with the Westcoast rapper. Watch the behind the scenes footage below.
