Following Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell’s long-awaited reunion on Fallon last week, Kel has revealed that that was just the tip of the iceberg! “From this, working together and talking about it and seeing reaction from the fans and how they were screaming, and seeing that the magic is still there, we’re just like, ‘Yeah, we gotta do some more stuff,’” Kel told the Huffington Post. “So you’ll definitely see some more stuff. You’ll definitely see something coming up.” It has been nearly 15 years since Kenan and Kel last worked together, and different career paths and rumors of a rift between the pair had fans writing off any chance of a reunion, but with 90s nostalgia being all the rage right now, it was only right! As Saturday Night Live enters its 40th season this fall, the show’s most tenured African-American cast member has made plans for it to be his last. After 12 seasons on SNL, Kenan Thompson will be reportedly moving to Los Angeles with his wife Christina and their newborn, and has plans for a new TV show. He’d previously planned to leave after last season and work on a sitcom, but nixed the idea after SNL‘s producer, Lorne Michaels, asked him to stay on.
