The month just keeps getting better and better for 90s kids! Following Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell’s long-awaited reunion on Fallon last week, Kel has revealed that that was just the tip of the iceberg! “From this, working together and talking about it and seeing reaction from the fans and how they were screaming, and seeing that the magic is still there, we’re just like, ‘Yeah, we gotta do some more stuff,’” Kel told the Huffington Post. “So you’ll definitely see some more stuff. You’ll definitely see something coming up.” It has been nearly 15 years since Kenan and Kel last worked together, and different career paths and rumors of a rift between the pair had fans writing off any chance of a reunion, but with 90s nostalgia being all the rage right now, it was only right! The comedians haven’t spoke in years, with unconfirmed reports of quite the beef between the two, but the hatchet was buried last night as they reprised their roles on the legendary Good Burger set for a skit. Kel Mitchell Is Returning To Nickelodeon With Dan Schneider
Talk about Throwback Thursday! When’s the last time you heard of these two names together?! Back in the 90s, Kel Mitchell dominated Nickelodeon with his now-estranged best friend Kenan Thompson, starring on All That and its spinoff, Kenan & Kel, both produced by Dan Schneider. Their Good Burger movie involved Dan as well (considering it was from an All That sketch.) Though Dan has never left the popular kids network – going on to produce shows like iCarly, Zoey 101, Victorious and more, it’s been over a decade since we’ve seen Kel’s face grace the Nickelodeon airwaves, but that will now change with a live-action sitcom named Game Shakers!
Don’t Count On A Kenan & Kel Reunion Happening Any Time Soon!
Remember how great Kenan & Kel were as a duo? In my youth, Kenan & Kel had the best skits on “All That” followed by their hit TV show and one of my favorite movie, Good Burger but that’s are all we’re going to ever have left of the duo. Kel Mitchell is speaking out saying that Kenan wants nothing to do with him in the public eye!
