(Video) Waka Flocka’s Mom Speaks Out About Cyber Bullying After Son’s Tragic Suicidal Death

On last night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Debra Antney (Waka Flocka Flame’s mother) spoke out about cyber bullying after her son, Kayo Redd, committed suicide back in December. On the show, Antney stopped by a local Atlanta radio station Streetz 94.5 to speak out on her program called No Reckless Internet Posting (No R.I.P.) “When you gossip and spread rumors and recklessly post about people’s lives, you are speaking death – killing their spirits, killing their reputations, killing their relationships, killing their hope and so much more,” says Waka’s mother. Check out exactly what she had to say below. May you rest in paradise, Kayo! (And everyone else who lost their lives to cyber bullying.)

A little over a month ago, Waka Flocka Flame’s brother, Kayo Redd passed way from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Waka has been a little low-key since the tragedy, but after changing his diet and detoxing for a while, the “No Hands” rapper spoke out. Waka explains to D.C.’s 93.9 radio station that Kayo “had a lot of stress on him,” that no one saw. Kayo is in a better place, and Waka says that he’s “not hurting” any more. Sad. Hit up the gallery to check out Waka’s dedication tattoo.

“Kayo was full of life and color,” says Debra Antney about her recently deceased son, Kayo Redd, real name Coades Scott in reference to the attire she wanted attendees to wear for her son’s burial this past Saturday. No black, Antney requested. Redd passed away shortly after Christmas from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the up-coming emcee was sent out in style as a horse and carriage carried his coffin. The streets of Conley, GA were filled as people paid their last respects. Once laid to rest, attendees let go of red, orange and white ballons. Antney’s mother even released white doves as she stated, “You’ll always be my baby.” Sad. R.I.P.! Hit the jump for the scene.

Kayo Redd’s Mother Debra Antney Speaks Out; Reveals Final Moments & Possible Reason For Suicide

It has all but been confirmed that Waka Flocka’s younger brother, aspiring rapper Kayo Redd, died from a suicide over the weekend. The official autopsy report should come at some point this week, but that is basically what his family and police are saying. The news is heartbreaking in itself, but adding in the fact that Debra Antney (Waka and Kayo’s mother) already lost a son (their brother) in 2000 from a car crash, that makes it that much harder. “He had just left my house and he headed down the street and the next thing I knew was my son was dead,” the Mizay Entertainment CEO said in a phone interview yesterday afternoon. Debra was naturally fighting back tears as she spoke, explaining that her son had been struggling with the fact that he couldn’t help take care of her the way that Waka was doing. He had an upcoming eye surgery that was troubling him as well. “My son was a good kid and I never had any problems with him,” Debra said. “I just don’t know why he would do such a thing?” It’s so, so sad…and truly goes to show that you NEVER know what someone is going through. Scrolling through Kayo’s Twitter, he seemed excited about the mixtape he’d recently released, Red Kisses, and the weekly radio show he was involved in. Little did the world know the demons that he was facing inside. Let’s make sure we are talking to our loved ones daily! RIP, Kayo!

Update In The Death Of Waka Flocka’s Brother, Kayo Redd: Cops Leaning Toward Suicide

As reported earlier, Waka Flocka’s younger brother, aspiring rapper Kayo Redd, was found dead in Atlanta late last night. Police have been investigating the death, and though it is not 100% confirmed just yet, they are almost completely ruling out any foul play, and believe it to be a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The autopsy will be conducted later today. RIP, Kayo.
