KKK Member Who Almost Got Away With Murder Dies In Prison
James Ford Seale, a long-time member of the Mississippi White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan who very nearly got away with murder, has died. After serving less than four years of three life sentences for the 1964 murders of Henry Hezekiah Dee and Charles Eddie Moore, both 19, Seale, 76, died in prison last Tuesday. Text’s Can Be Searched With No Warrant???
California’s Supreme Court has ruled(not unanimously) that once arrested it’s legal for police to check your text folder without the need for a warrant. The justification for this privacy intrusion is that a phone search is “incidental” to a lawful arrest and its contents, much like the contents of your pockets or bags, fall within the realm of reasonable search. @TatWza
