By now I am sure most of you have heard about all the effort Kevin Durant has been making to help the people of Oklahoma who suffered through one of the worst Tornado’s in American history. Besides donating $1 million dollars himself, he personally has been on hand to help clean up debris, and was answering phones on behalf of the red cross. KD was already a king in the eyes of OKC fans, but if it’s even possible he stepped up another level with his show of compassion for the people. After the storm, someone captured an amazing sports picture that should prove to be iconic for years to come. Through all the damaged buildings and debris all over the place, a random Kevin Durant jersey was hanging from a broken piece of wood that I assume used to belong to a home or other building. Nobody has said anything about them being the person who hung the jersey there or anything. Is it possible that somehow the jersey wound up hanging there during the storm? Yes, even though it is more likely someone hung it there afterwards as a sign of thanks to the player, but it can also be a symbol of hope for the people of the area to know they have such good people like KD, Westbrook and other OKC players…
