NBA: Jazz sign Jerry Sloan to 1-yr contract extension (longest active tenured coach, 23 seasons)
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Jerry Sloan has agreed to a one-year contact extension to remain as head coach of the Utah Jazz through the 2011-12 season. This is Sloan’s 23rd season as Utah’s head coach. He started with the Jazz as a scout in 1983-84 season and one year later was an assistant under Frank Layden.
