The Eagles have prioritized retaining Jeremy Maclin before Riley Cooper as the wide receivers near free agency, according to NFL sources.
Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin appears to have suffered a torn ACL in his right knee at practice earlier today. If in fact it is his ACL, that would mean he is done for this season. That would hurt the Eagles offense as he and DeSean Jackson make up a good young duo at that position. Maclin has missed plenty of time before, and has missed at least one game in each of his four seasons. Last year he had almost 1,000 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. He was expected to play a major role in new coach Chip Kelly’s offense this season. With a stable quarterback situation he has the potential to be a pro bowl type of player. If his ACL is in fact torn, we wish him a speedy recovery.
The Eagles and Giants have a bitter rivalry and now the Eagles are without two of their biggest stars.  Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin have been ruled out for the Eagles’ game at the New York Giants on Sunday night.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Dunta Robinson will pay for his flagrant hit on the Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin. He won’t be suspended. The NFL on Monday fined the Falcons cornerback $40,000 for the hit in which he led with his helmet and crashed into Maclin in the third quarter of Atlanta’s 35-31 win over Philadelphia on Sunday night. Robinson was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness. Watch the hit after the jump…
