Rolling Stone covers are typically reserved for rock stars, but their latest cover is anything but. Boston bomber Jahar Tsarnaev graces the iconic mag’s front page, and it’s caused quite a stir amongst the community. The accompanying article “delivers a deeply reported account of the life and times” of Jahar, sourced from 2 months of extensive interviews with some of his closest friends, family, peers, teachers and more. The mag promises to “deliver a riveting and heartbreaking account of how a charming kid with a bright future became a monster,” but many seem to think this would have been far better suited for a mag like TIME.
