This story actually isn’t new. In October I did a post about Jackelin Castro who is the mother of Robinson Cano’s 3-year-old son back in the Dominican Republic. Castro complained she was only receiving $500-$600 a month and sometimes she didn’t even get that. She requested an increase in child support payments and with Cano signing a new $240 million deal with the Seattle Mariners I can’t think of any judge who wouldn’t grant her wish.

While there were reports that Robinson Cano is seeking $300 million from the Yankees, the mother of his child is saying she’s receiving about $500 to $600 a month in child support. Jackelin Castro the mother Cano’s son, Robinson Miguel Cano Castro is seeking an increase in child support payments claiming “His (Robinson Cano) living circumstances, financially, socially and culturally, are very, very far from what the child’s experiencing and gets”.
