Last Month a group of friends teamed up in honor of Ice Cube’s classic ‘It Was A Good Day’, and embarked on a campaign to get Ice Cube’s notorious lyrics on the L.A Goodyear Blimp, as Cube cleverly boasts about in his song. Although a hard journey the boys were able to raise money for the south central youth charity ‘A Place Called Hope’, by setting off there ‘Team Gooday Blimp’ campaign. Ice Cube was the poster child for Gangsta rap in Los Angeles during the 90’s, constantly voicing his thoughts on political issues and gang feuds going on in his neighborhood. The West Coast rapper’s ’93 smash-hit “It Was A Good Day” painted a vivid picture of what it was like living in South Central at the time.
