Apple Reportedly Working On Smartwatch?!?!

The New York Times just got a major scoop that Apple may be working on iOS-based watch with a curved glass display. Apple would be the latest major company to look into wearable technology, including Google with their Glass project. The NYT’s sources say it’s in the very early stages, but could use Corning’s new Willow Glass, which is supposed to very flexible. If Apple does get into this space, they’ll have to compete with the recently launched & very popular Pebble smartwatch. Get more details in the link after the jump.


Temple Run 2 Dropping Tonight For iOS Devices

  The game that had everyone sliding and swiping last year is back for another round. The word is the game will be available later on today for all iOS devices, no word on when the game will hit Android.  The game is already available in the New Zealand App store.  So far the reviews are, Temple Run 2 has the same feel as the first title nothing ground breaking. The one big improvement is the games looks better and flows much better.  Unlike the first title the game will have 4 playable characters right out the gate so no saving up just to get  a new character.  Look out for the new title at around 11 pm accoridng to reports. iOS App Downloads Could Reach 100 Million Downloads Daily

It looks like people love downloading apps, according to Asymco’s Horace Dediu in 2017 people will be downloading apps at the rate of 100 million apps per day. Asymco’s Horace Dediu came to this figure by going at the rate people download apps today and over the past few years. In 2012 mobile phone users downloaded 65 million per day, a jump from 50 million in 2011. So its a possibility we could see a 100 million app day by 2015 according Horace Dediu. 50 Million Android And iOS Smartphones Activated on the Last Week of December

New numbers from  Flurry would suggest that in the last week of December about 17 million iOS and Android devices were activated on christmas. And during that time about 1.76 million apps were download on Cnristmas but during the full week of Christmas both iOS and Android activated a whopping 50 million devices. We can see why Nokia and Microsoft are not flourishing in the mobile market.
