Award season is in full swing. Following last night’s Billboard Music Awards, next up is the BET Awards, going down June 26 in Los Angeles. The nominees have officially been announced, and Drake is leading the way with 9 nominations, with Beyoncé and Rihanna trailing behind him, tied for 5 each. (Guess he really did turn that 6 upside down, huh?) Check out all of the nominees below. (Interesting they left Iggy out of the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category this year! And there was definitely room, as they only had 5 nominees, and some categories had 6. No shade, no shade!)
Atlanta Producer Sues Iggy Azalea For $1.5 Million
According to Atalanta producer Jon Jon Traxx, he worked with Iggy Azalea pre-fame back in 2009, helping her to craft the sound that eventually got her signed to Def Jam. Traxx says that he also set up shows, got her a stylist and introduced her to influential record biz execs, but that Iggy stopped dealing with him after she signed her deal in 2013. Traxx says they both agreed to terminate their contract that year, but that he was still promised further compensation. Bring in the lawsuit.

Everything seems to be pretty cool within Iggy Azalea and Nick Young’s relationship despite the cheating allegations that popped up courtesy of D’Angelo Russell’s video. They appear to be moving past the drama and just enjoying life which is nice to see. Young is lucky that Iggy isn’t holding grudges because if she was, he would currently be walking around looking like an idiot with a huge, misspelled tattoo on his back.
NBA: After Doing Interviews & Tweets, Iggy Azalea Says She’s Still With Nick Young & Wants Privacy
Nick Young and Iggy Azalea’s relationship has been far from private. Young courted her through Instagram, they did interviews and ad campaigns together, they discussed their upcoming nuptials and who wants what, and then things took a bad turn. Fellow Laker teammate D’Angelo Russell secretly recorded Young admitting to cheating on Azalea. Since then, Iggy has tweeted her thoughts on the matter and even did an interview where she said she would cut off his penis if he was caught on camera again; well and then he was caught. Iggy took to her Twitter account once again and revealed that she and Nick and are still together, but now she wants privacy on the matter.
