Over the weekend, rumors started circulating that Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., would reprise his father’s role in a remake of his 90s classic, Friday, alongside comedian DC Young Fly. Because of both young actors’ resemblance to the original characters, memes suggesting the remake should happen have been circulating since O’Shea was introduced to the masses in last summer’s Straight Outta Compton. However, they seemed to become a reality when what appeared to be O’Shea’s official Facebook page posted this weekend that it was happening.
