The End Of An Era: Cam’Ron Announces His Final Album Ever

This past Sunday made a full decade since Cam’Ron released his classic album, Purple Haze. Since then, Dip Set’s fearless leader has gone on to release 2006’s Killa Season and 2009’s Crime Pays, followed by a pair of joint albums with his former artist Vado, and a handful of EPs. Prior to Purple Haze, Cam had made his mark in music with other classics like his 1998 debut Confessions of Fire, followed by 2000’s S.D.E. and my favorite of all time, 2002’s Come Home With Me. The latter reintroduced Killa after a brief hiatus, and introduced his Dip Set crew, setting the stage for what would become one of the most iconic and influential groups in the history of hip-hop. It’s Dip Set ’til the wheels fall off, b. Suffice to say, Cam’Ron has had a fruitful and storied music career, and he’s now ready to move on to the next chapter.
