Drake just managed to clinch his first Hot 100 #1 single ever with “One Dance”, but only held the spot for a week. Justin Timberlake debuts at #1 on the charts for the first time ever with his single “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” to dethrone Drake’s hot streak. I have a feeling there is going to be a battle for radio supremacy this summer!
Anyone who left the movie theater after seeing Furious 7 with dry eyes is clearly heartless because watching Paul Walker on the big screen for the last time is more than heart-wrenching. To make it even more emotional, Wiz Khalifa’s sad tune “See You Again” pulled the entire movie together, making it relatable for anyone who ever lost a loved one. Aside from helping the movie gain the #1 spot in the box office, Wiz kicked Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson out of the #1 position for “Uptown Funk” on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and straight pulled the robbery. Congrats, Wiz! “See You Again” and the entire Furious 7 album can be purchased via iTunes here if you haven’t heard it yet. Disclaimer: Make sure you have a box of tissues next to you because this song will do it to you.
The Grammys aired last Sunday, the same day the Billboard charts close out, so last week’s sales were only effected a teeny bit by the performances. This week, however, we see the full impact a performance and/or win on the Grammys can do, and 7 out of 10 albums on the charts were directly helped by the big night. Check out the list below!
Maxim recently released their annual Hot 100 list, and I’m still pretty shocked at who they put at number 1. The rest of the top 10 is decent, but it’s still missing some ladies that definitely deserve to be there. Find out who made the cut and let us know your thoughts!
