Auto Talk: Honda reveals modestly tweaked 2012 Pilot

A nip, a tuck and, actually, quite a bit more is in store for the 2012 Honda Pilot. The most noticeable change that’s evident with a quick glance above is the reworked front end staring you in the face. Honda has changed the grille while also making the lower fascia appear wider through the use of black plastic. While we’ve been, um, enjoying the latest take on the Honda Civic for a few good months now, our cousins across the pond have yet to be able to sink their teeth into the new European version of the Japanese compact. That’s all about to change as Honda prepares to unveil the 2012 Euro Civic at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Japanese automaker has been so kind as to slide the web a little teaser ahead of the vehicle’s debut complete with a photo of the hatchback’s rear and a few scant details. Supply shortages as a result of the debilitating earthquake in Japan and the subsequent tsunami resulted in a U.S. market share reduction from 10.6 percent to 9.3 percent.
