Robin Thicke’s hit single “Blurred Lines” is doing wonders for him. This week it stood strong at number 1 on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Mainstream Top 40 chart for the sixth week in a row, and number 1 on Rhythmic for a seventh! Now for the first time for Robin, T.I. or Pharrell, it has achieved the number one status on the Adult Top 40 list as well! That’s not all, though. The track has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks; set the mark for the greatest weekly audience (219.8 million); and become the first song to sell at least 400,000 downloads in each of four weeks. Oh, and it continues. The song is just the second (and the first in more than 14 years) to top Mainstream Top 40, Rhythmic and Adult Top 40 simultaneously. And now that it’s number 1, and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive,” Maroon 5’s “Love Somebody” and Zedd’s “Clarity” are numbers 2 through 4 respectively, Interscope is the first label ever to boast the top four Mainstream Top 40 titles concurrently. Congrats to all!
