Take It Personal: The Hip-Hop Imporv Show continues. In the past weeks artists such as Jadakiss, Maino, and last week Naughty-by-Nature’s, Treach came out to the show. While they tell real life stories, improvisers tell those same stories, in a funny frame. This week, August 2nd, Dip Set’s own Jim Jones will be at UCB East Theatre to tell a tale or two or three…and to reenact the scene will be, A Tribe Called YES! Actor Tristan Wilds (now going by Mack Wilds as a singer) was featured in Cipha Sounds’ Hip Hop Improv Show “Take It Personal” this past Friday night. Over the weekend, the Prodigy of Mobb Deep was featured in Cipha Sounds’ improv show, “Take It Personal.” Prodigy told various stories, one of which detailed when he was trying to get signed at Def Jam and forgot his gun at the offices as he didn’t want to take a weapon to Russell Simmons’ house. Over the weekend, Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds held the very first Hip Hop Improv Show, “Take it Personal,” alongisde the Upright Citizens Brigade. It was held at the top improv theatre and school in NYC and included improvisers Cipha Sounds, Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Chris Gethard and Phil Jackson, while Brandon Gardner reenacted stories originally told by N.O.R.E.
