Jenna Bush Speaks Out After “Hidden Fences” Flub; Pharrell Responds
On the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, reporter Jenna Bush was speaking with Pharrell, who was nominated for his contribution to Hidden Figures. Unfortunately, Jenna accidentally called the film Hidden Fences…confusing it with another acclaimed and nominated “black” film, Fences. Janelle Monae Lands Role In NASA Drama ‘Hidden Figures’
Janelle Monae is taking her talents to the big screen. The ‘Yoga’ singer has recently landed a role in the upcoming film, ‘Hidden Figures.’ The film is based on Margot Lee Shetterly’s upcoming book Hidden Figures: The Story of the African-American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race. Shetterly tells the story of a group of Black women who gave NASA crucial mathematical data needed to launch the space program’s Friendship 7 mission, which lead to John Glenn becoming the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth in 1962. Janelle Monae will star alongside, ‘Empire’ star Tarji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer. Reports confirm, Henson will play mathematician Katherine Henson, while Monae and Spencer will play her colleagues Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughn. The film is set for release January 13, 2017 and it will be airing on Fox 2000. Click the gallery for more.

It looks like actress Taraji P. Henson has a new huge projects in the works. She has been casted to play the role of Katherine Johnson, a math genius that helped NASA out with one of their biggest missions to date – launching John Glenn into space. The movie, which is called Hidden Figures, is based off of the book Hidden Figures: The Story of the African-American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race.
