Heavy D was a great man and a great spirit that was truly loved by everyone around him. You can imagine how devastated his family was when they lost him last week, at the extremely young age of 44. Heavy D Funeral Details Revealed
Details have emerged about Heavy D’s very private funeral. According to TMZ, Heavy D will be laid to rest on Friday during a private, invite only service. The family of Heavy has decided to hold a public service on Thursday. Read more after the jump. Julie1205
(Video + Photos) Heavy D’s Last Interview and Last Recording Session
We lost a legend earlier this week when Heavy D unexpectedly passed away from what is believed to be complications of pneumonia. Just a few days prior, he’d been in London and stopped by Tim Westwood’s 1xtra show for what has become his last interview. Hev and Tim talked the birth of hip hop, the tragic passing of Troy, performing at the BET awards, working with Jay-Z, producing, touring the UK, Teddy Riley and his cousin, Pete Rock.
