HBO to Have Authentic 1920’s Subway Train Running in NYC All Through September to Promote “Boardwalk Empire”!!
This is SO awesome! During the month of September, HBO will be running an authentic 1920’s Subway train on the 2/3 line in NYC to promote the new season of their hit show, Boardwalk Empire. They will even have brand ambassadors giving out complimentary MetroCards on the weekend of the show’s premiere. How dope is that?! You can catch the train on Saturdays and Sundays in September from 12pm to 6pm, making stopsat 96th, 72nd and 42nd street. Marisa Mendez
New Spike Lee Show ‘Da Brick’ On HBO Focuses On Mike Tyson’s Youth

The pay cable network has handed out a pilot order to the drama project about a young boxer from Entourage creator Doug Ellin, filmmaker Spike Lee, former boxing champion Mike Tyson and writer John Ridley. Ridley wrote the script for the pilot, which will be directed by Lee. Set in current-day Newark, NJ, nicknamed “brick city,†Da Brick is described as a contemporary exploration of what it means to be a young, black man in supposedly post-racial America and is loosely inspired by aspects of Tyson’s youth. Search is under way for a young black actor to play the lead.
