On HBCU is now getting alot of backlash for allowing is band to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many are upset at the fact that Talladega College in Alabama, the oldest historically black liberal arts college in the state, is allowing their students to perform for a man who has been openly racist.

Yesterday afternoon, the White House recognized faculty and staff members at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as “Champions of Change” who are finding success promoting college completion and success. The event featured a panel discussion moderated by Terrence Jenkins, remarks from Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx. Also in attendance were Karen Civil, Necole Bitchie and more! The Champions of Change program was created as an opportunity for the White House to feature individuals doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities. Well, now she can laugh all the way to college since radio personality, Tom Joyner has offered her a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to ANY Historically Black College or University of her choice.
