Talk show queen and self made billionaire Oprah has been a philanthropist for many, many years now. She’s taken numerous trips to Haiti (amongst many other countries) to help people affected by the major earthquake of 2010 and she documents her trips to show she’s really there to help. Kim recently took a trip over to Haiti as well, but has since been blasted for allegedly sleeping in a luxurious hotel, dressing fancily as she met with locals and even treating herself to a shopping spree. Doesn’t seem like she really did much of anything to help! Oprah has since blasted Kim’s efforts, and Kim herself even spoke out about the “rumors” the trip was just for good press. Kim Kardashian Heads To Haiti On Mission For Women
Kim Kardashian and her momager Kris Jenner have headed down to Haiti on a humanitarian mission to improve the health and safety of women in poor countries. Kim and Kris joined “Prime Suspect” star Maria Bello’s charity We Advance while down in Haiti. Kim felt that helping the women in Haiti would help her escape the paparazzi and the scrutiny from her divorce while helping women in need. Read more after the jump. Julie1205
Wyclef Speaks On Claims His Charity Misused Funds

Common recently shoot scenes for video in Haiti. The video features locals who took Common and the video director on a tour of the country and earthquake devastated regions of it. Shelter Dogs Training To Become Rescue Dogs
The National Disaster Search Dog Foundation has decided to start using dogs in shelters as part of their rescue teams. After natural disasters such as the Haiti and Japan earthquakes, tornadoes in Missouri, and attacks such as 9/11 the NDSDF feels that more dogs can help save more lives. Once the dogs living in shelters are trained they will be “on-call” so to speak in case disaster strikes. Read more after the jump. @Julie1205
