Rather than saying her name, Christie told an audience Tuesday an “African-American female speaker of the Assembly” is blocking a vote on a school voucher bill. SMH! Democratic Speaker Sheila Oliver then accused the governor for bringing race into the discussion. Then, the church’s pastor asked Christie to apologize, offended by the governor’s remarks. The 4-term Louisiana governor, Edwin Edwards has landed a docu-series on A&E. Him and his 34-year-old wife, Trina, along with several of their children from previous marriages will all be featured on the show. Edwards served four times as Louisiana’s governor over the course of three decades, and also served eight years in federal prison for crimes committed while he was in office.
