Google Play recently announced that they have added HBO content to its line up. The HBO original series that were added are Game of Thrones, True Blood, Girls, BoardWalk Empire, The Newsroom, Veep and The Wire.
Samsung Wallet Is Much Like Apple’s Passbook App!!
Samsung Wallet Now Available in Google Play Store, allowing users to store and categorize tickets, coupons, membership cards, etc. Other features include the ability to receive co-marketing and loyalty card coupons. For the now the app only runs on the Galaxy S III, S4, Note, and Note II. Some vendors that will be supporting it will be Walgreens, MLB, Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Booking.com. Google CEO Larry Page announced this week that more than 1.5 million Android devices are being activated DAILY and that over 50 billion apps have been downloaded from Google Play. These numbers are almost double what they were last year. There are more than 900 million Android devices worldwide and counting, which is pretty amazing considering the first Android phone launched less than five years ago. Google is expected to pass Apple’s App Store in total app downloads later this year or early next year. Congrats Android !!!

Yesterday’s Play Store update suggests a place for Google Glass users. Now in the Play Store there appears in a drop down list of devices “Google Glass 1.” Although you are not allowed to select it just yet since it is greyed out it is a step closer for Google Glass. When exactly they will go mainstream is still unknown but the update definitely gives hope for those anticipating. Hit the gallery for photo of the update !

During the I/O Conference in May Google announced that Galaxy S4 would be the first non-Nexus phone to get the Google Play treatment. Soon after, Google unveiled at the D11 conference that HTC One would also have a Google Play edition.
