The Trayvon Martin case has been VERY tense these last few days, with Judge Debra Nelson and Zimmerman’s lawyer Don West going at each other back and forth. Expert Testifies That Trayvon Martin Was On Top Of Zimmerman When He Was Shot!
Dr. Vincent Di Maio, a forensic pathologist testified, and swayed things for the defense today. Di Maio stated that Trayvon Martin was on top of George Zimmerman when the fatal shot to his chest killed him. “If you lean over someone, you notice the clothing tends to fall away from the chest,” Di Maio said. “If instead you’re lying on your back and someone shoots you, the clothing is going to be against your chest.” During this testimony, Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton left the court, which seems to mean that she could not take it. Who stuck first still remains to be the question. If someone has been following you, proceed to attack your, and then you see a gun – what would you do?! Molly West, the daughter of Don West who is representing George Zimmerman, posted a picture on Instagram of her and her family enjoying some ice cream cones. It’s not the picture that’s an issue, it’s the caption which read “We beat stupidity celebration cones … #dadkilledit.” The picture was posted following West’s questioning of witness, Rachel Jeantel, but is believed to have been taken after the opening statement of the trial. West is said to have not known about the Instagram photo and he and his daughters are “mortified.” See the picture in the gallery.

Today makes day #4 of the George Zimmerman trial, and day two where Rachel Jeantel has been on the stand. Jeantel was on the phone with Trayvon when the confrontation between he and Zimmerman began. The defense seems to be making a mockery out of this girl’s pronunciation of some words, and in addition to that, Jeantel has a low voice, so hearing her has become difficult. It’s clear that these attorneys are trying to make this a benefit for their gain. Since some of the transcripts for Trayvon Martin’s friend in ‘not clear,’ defense has asked the judge to play back the recording of the interview.
