SMH: George Zimmerman Is Found NOT Guilty

The verdict is in and George Zimmerman has been found NOT guilty for killing 17-year-old unarmed Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was facing second degree murder and manslaughter, but he was acquitted of all charges. The jury came to a decision that Zimmerman acted in “self-defense” and was justified in using deadly force to shoot Trayvon. This racially-fueled case has been going on for awhile now and unfortunately, Trayvon’s family will not get the peace of mind they deserve.

MSNBC was covering the Trayvon Martin case Thursday afternoon when they made a split-second error of airing Trayvon Martin’s body shortly after his altercation with George Zimmerman. Although it was very, very brief, a Gawker viewer caught the image and submitted it to Gawker, and the site published it.
