Legally married same-sex couples will now be allowed to file federal joint tax returns, the IRS and Treasury Department announced Thursday. The ruling allows homosexual couples to receive the same tax benefits that heterosexual couples do when filing jointly. We will have more news as the story develops.

Transgender Women Beaten To Death In Harlem
A 21-year-old Transgender woman named Islan Nettles was brutally attacked on Frederick Douglass Blvd between 147th Street and 148th Street in Harlem. According to the police, the “thug” was yelling anti-gay slurs during the beating that is currently being investigated as a hate crime. Nettles family made the heart-wrenching decision to take their daughter off of life-support after being treated at Harlem Hospital for almost a week. 20-year-old Paris Wilson has been charged with misdemeanor assault, but the police said there could be a possible upgrade in the chargers once the results of a medical report comes back.
