Ahead of this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Chevrolet is once again introducing an official pace car that will do more than just lead the field under cautions. Just like last year, Chevy is fielding a bright pink Camaro SS for the AdvoCare 500, and it will also help raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program. Auto Talk: Ford Celebrates Producing It’s 350 Millionth Vehicle
Today, Ford Motor Company produced it’s 350 millionth vehicle! The 350 millionth vehicle was a Ford Focus produced in Rayong, Thailand. “Producing 350 million vehicles is equivalent to producing one vehicle every 10 seconds for our 109-year history. If placed end to end, the vehicles would stretch to the moon and back twice,” said John Fleming, Ford executive vice president of global manufacturing, in a statement. Funk Flex

In a move that makes us say, “Well… of course,” The Guardian reports that Bentley is contemplating the creation of a division that would build “armour-plated” versions of its cars. The competitors in mass-market luxury and premium luxury already have such divisions – BMW just announced the latest versions of its armored 7 Series and Rolls-Royce launched an armored Phantom five years ago, for starters – and third-party companies are already producing armored Mulsannes and Flying Spur Speeds.
