Two gents at this past weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK got the chance to sit in the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version, and not only did they start it up, but they recorded its sound. The 414-horsepower crossover surprises not only with its sky-high asking price of €120,000 (circa $155k USD), but also with a remarkably exciting soundtrack. Pushing the button adjacent to the ashtray triggers a Mr. Hyde routine on the exhaust note, turning the rich baritone burble from intimidation to deepest fear. Funk Flex
Auto Talk: Porsche 911-fighting Maserati GranSport to use twin-turbo V6 power?
Auto Express reports the new Maserati GranSport may bow with a twin-turbo V6 engine good for more than 450 horsepower. Designed by Ferrari, the engine will show up in a range over other models, including the Quattroporte and the Kubang utility vehicle (whatever it is actually named). Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should have no trouble hustling the GranSport around your favorite track. As we’ve heard before, the GranSport will be based roughly on the Alfa Romeo 4C you see above. The report also suggests Maserati will work to keep the chassis fairly light with a target curb weight of 2,600 pounds thanks to its carbon fiber construction.
