There’s A New Update On Frank Ocean’s Album!

We thought we were getting a Frank Ocean album last summer but here we are approaching yet another summer, and it’s still nowhere in sight. However, according to his in-house producer Malay – it’s ready to come at any time! “When he’s ready, the world is gonna get it,” Malay said in a new interview with Pitchfork. “It could be tomorrow… well not tomorrow but maybe a month [laughs]. He’s been working super hard. I feel like he’s working harder than he’s ever worked in his life. I’m excited for everyone to hear it. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, for sure.”

Even Adele Wants To Know What’s Taking Frank Ocean So Long To Release His Album

After almost three years of silence from Adele is finally giving us some new music. Her album 25 is slated to drop November 20th and is already expected to sell one million albums in the first week! Her newest single ‘Hello’ has already broken a bunch of records. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Adele revealed just why she was out of the loop for so long. According to her, she was busy raising her son and really didn’t have anything to share with her fans. She said, “When I have nothing to say, I’d rather just not talk.” But when found herself back in the loop, she couldn’t help but wonder exactly what the rest of us are wondering, Where is Frank Ocean’s album????? Earlier this year, Frank Ocean got us all excited when he revealed his new album Boys Don’t Cry would be coming….and here we are, still waiting. There were rumors it was going to drop in July, but the month came and went without any tunes from him, leaving us all wondering when in the world it will come! He even cancelled scheduled performances in the meantime, leaving us even more in the dark. We’ve now seemingly got a bit of an update, and though it’s not much – we’re taking anything we can get at this point. Frank’s barber, Rodney, posted a few Instagram photos cutting the singer’s hair in London, and captioned the pics promising the project is dropping “very soon,” and revealing that the album cover is “outta this world.” Hmm! He also referred to the title as Gz Ain’t Supposed To Cry – not sure if he was just freestyling that one oooor…

During a recent interview rapper Wale discussed homosexuality in the Hip-Hop community. When asked if a gay person could be successful in the industry, Wale went on a rant that ultimately stated that being gay was an advantage. He then went on to use Frank Ocean as an example to make his point which became more and more twisted as he spoke. He said, “People are probably going to go bad on me for saying this, but it’s an advantage to be gay in this country right now, that’s just the fact of the matter,” He continued, “Frank Ocean is very dope. Very very dope artist. He got pushed to the moon when he dropped his album though. He got the Grammy and everything. There’s about 30 artists in the country that sold about how much he did or more – they didn’t get any of that.” Now, Wale is speaking out again to clarify his comments. Hit the jump for more.

Earlier this year, Frank Ocean got fans hype when he posted to his Tumblr page the hashtags, “#ISSUE1, #ALBUM3, #JULY2015, and #BOYSDONTCRY.” Boys Don’t Cry being the name of his magazine, and tentatively the title to his Channel Orange follow-up. However, here comes today [July 20], and there has been no Ocean drops. Fans were under the assumption that July 20, instead of July 2015 would be the album’s release, but NO.
