Bill Gates Surprised By Beyoncé’s “Formation” Name Drop: “Are You Serious?”
In-between hitting his billion dollar dab, Bill Gates was recently put on Beyonce’s latest single ‘Formation.‘ In the record, Queen Bey references Gates with the line, “You just might be a black Bill Gates in the making, cause I slay/I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making.” In a recent interview with Wired, Microsoft founder shared he was surprised to learn his name was dropped in the song. Gates explained, “Yeah, I hadn’t realized that she did that until somebody in the office actually sent me a copy of the lyrics and I said, ‘Are you serious? This is kind of a strange set of words here.’ I’m surprised—I’m not sure she said those words at the Super Bowl, though, did she?” And the answer is Yes, she did! Bill Gates seemed flattered by the lyrics saying, “I guess it’s nice that people consider me successful” however, he did added he does not know Beyonce but is familiar with her hubby Jay-Z. He said, “I know Jay Z because when I did some humor right when I was retiring from Microsoft—he was nice about participating in that, and did a great job on that. Beyonce Rumored To Be Dropping New Album In April
Beyoncé shocked the world with her controversial single, “Formation” sending her #BeyHive into a complete frenzy and then shocked them again with the announcement of her ‘Formation World Tour.‘ Fans are now patiently waiting for the arrival of her sixth studio album and while there are few details to go on, it has been reported the forthcoming album will drop this April. According to HitsDailyDouble reports, “Beyoncé is close to making a new worldwide, multi-album deal with Sony Music, and the final release under the current deal is now set for April” Queen Bey is also still rumored to be releasing a joint album with her hubby, Hov. Everything is still rumors at this point and they only thing we know for sure is the album is “awesome.” The praise came from Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter, who’s been lucky enough to hear the album and recently dished “I’ve heard the new album. #BeyHive stand up! Beyonce announced her ‘Formation’ World Tour after shutting down the stage for the Super Bowl half-time show this year and as expected, her fans went absolutely insane. The tour sold out almost instantly and after overwhelming demand for tickets, she added a bunch more tour dates. According to Billboard reports, Queen Bey’s ticket sales are killin’ it in the box offices and have already topped $100 million. “Formation” has already sold out both New York Citi Field shows as well as two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.
