This past week was the release of the Nike Dark Pine Foamposite country wide and every Nike Retailer had a line outside for a midnight release. One Sneaker shop that had a lot of media attention was Moes Sneaker spot in Astoria, Queens. Shoe marketers including Reebok, Puma and New Balance are sprinting to get in on the new trend among both fashion-conscious and serious runners, with new campaigns promoting barely-there, lightweight running shoes that mold more closely to the foot. While some companies have been offering minimalist styles for some time, the concept seemed to catch fire in the second quarter of this year, per a SportsOneSource analyst.
