Andre Berto was really just talking sh*t at this point because the fight wasn’t even close. Guys know Floyd’s fighting style yet still act surprised after they lose to him and try to call him out for running like he is supposed to just stand there and get hit. Funny thing was immediately after the fight, Berto seemed to be content that he just made a good effort and earned a moral victory. I guess once he had a little more time he couldn’t help from throwing a few jabs (pun intended) in Floyd’s direction.

Maybe there wasn’t as many people watching pay per view last night as they did when Floyd Mayweather fought Manny Pacquiao but there were still plenty of fans who hit “buy” on their remote. Floyd Mayweather really wants us to believe he is retiring. Despite all of our doubts, he surely sounded like someone who fought his last fight during his post game press conference. He gets more emotional and deep than maybe we have ever heard him talk as he reflects on the past 20 years of his life. He speaks on everything from being the best, outsmarting all fighters, rumors he couldn’t read and reveals some info about his career that most people likely never knew.

Does this really come as a shock to anyone? I doubt it. Floyd Mayweather wants us to believe that his fight with Andre Berto last night was his grand finale. He said all the right things and appeared very sincere about retiring but after the match, his dad was telling reporters that they have talked about fighting one more time and he seems to kind of leave the option up in the air. Not really a hardcore endorsement about retiring from Floyd Sr.

It doesn’t seem like many people believe him but Floyd Mayweather, with emotion in his voice, once again confirmed he really is retiring and we just saw him in the ring for the last time. After a dominating performance over Andre Berto, Mayweather was asked about the retirement question and stuck by his guns, saying “My career is over, It’s Official”.

Even in an arena with more than 13,000 fans yelling and making noise, you could still distinctly hear this comment. A fan screamed out “what are thoooose” while Mayweather & Berto were fighting and for a brief second, it actually took Floyd’s attention away from the fight as he appeared to turn and look into the crowd. Luckily for him, Berto was such a bum that it didn’t matter.
