Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 4/14/13 … Congrats To Tyga On A #7 Debut!

Tyga’s third time wasn’t exactly a charm when it comes to album sales, but it didn’t do too poorly, either. His latest effort, Hotel California, comes in at number 7 on the Billboard charts today, moving 54k copies in its first week out. This is likely due to its lack of a strong single. Still a top 10 debut, though! Get the rest of this week’s sales below.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 4/7/13 … Tyler The Creator Has A Top 3 Debut!

Justin Timberlake continues his reign at number one for the third week in the row now, moving an additional 139k copies of The 20/20 Experience. However, Odd Future frontman Tyler The Creator wasn’t too far behind, with his sophomore solo effort Wolf debuting at number 3 with 89k. Not only is that a good number in itself, but it beats his first album Goblin, which debuted in 2011 at number 5 with 45k. Congrats! Get the rest of the top 10 below.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 3/31/13 … Congrats To Lil Wayne On A #2 Debut!

The debut of Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II failed to secure the top spot this week, coming in at number two behind Justin Timberlake with his second week of The 20/20 Experience. JT moved another 318k copies, officially certifying the project with platinum status after just 2 weeks on shelves! Crazy! Tune’s number wasn’t too bad either, coming in at 217k…slightly above initial predictions. Get the rest of the top 10 below.

Damn, Lil Wayne’s Estimated First Week Sales Are No Where NEAR His Last Album

Lil Wayne’s Carter IV didn’t SEEM like it had a crazy buzz back in 2011, and many wondered if it would live up to the album that truly solidified Wayne’s spot in the game, Tha Carter III. The latter sold one million copies in its first week in 2008, something that was not being done at the time with the way record sales were going…especially with a rapper. But lo and behold, Wayne pushed 964k of C4, just a few units short of a milli. Now, what about his latest offering? Unfortunately, it’s not going to fare so well. It could be the lack of a strong single, as “No Worries” has been in rotation since last summer. Maybe it’s his health issues preventing him from promoting it the right way? Maybe it’s that the fans just really identify with the Carter series…being that his 2010 release, I Am Not A Human Being, only sold 110k copies the first week. However, Wayne was behind bars at that time and could do nothing to promote it, on top of the fact it was only released online, and not in stores until about 2 weeks later. So, how much will I Am Not A Human Being II do? Find out the current sales projections below!

Crazy! Get the rest of the top 10 below.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 3/10/13

Country star Luke Bryan topped the Billboard charts this week, moving 150k units of his new album, Spring Break…Here To Party. This is actually a compilation album of songs he’s mostly already put out, so it’s pretty interesting that it had such a good sales week. Get the rest of the top 10 below.
